Let's Put A Myth To Bed Today, 80% Online !

Sun Aug 12, 2007 at 01:29:41 PM PDT

I often read that African Americans are not present in known quantities on Daily Kos because of various reasons, the one most cited is "the income gap".  As an African American who has been online since 1986, with a lot of other African Americans, I want to put this myth to bed, today.

My first internet service provider was Prodigy.  Prodigy began in 1984. I began using it in 1986. It was dial up, it was slow and it was subscription. You had to pay for your computer, your modem, your phone line, and Prodigy.  There were so many African Americans on Prodigy trying to talk to each other that it was difficult to get a word in! It was wonderful and fascinating!

Michael Moore tearing Wolf Blitzer a new one on CNN Now!!

Mon Jul 09, 2007 at 03:04:42 PM PDT

Watch this if you can. No mealy mouth interviews for Michael.  The interview was supposed to be about Sicko, Wolf started with Dr. Sanjay Gupta doing a piece about the facts in Sicko being wrong, we have better medical care, you'd have to pay more taxes, you'd have to wait longer for care...blah, blah, blah.

Dr. Gupta did not address the 48 million of us who have no medical care, who are paying more taxes and who have waited nearly a generation for universal health care.

Michael correctly called the Gupta piece a hit piece and then lit into Wolf and CNN for their portrayal of the March to the Iraq War, how Wolf had never apologized to the American people for carrying the Administration's water during the run up to the war, and had never apologized to him for falsely saying that Farenheit 911 was factually incorrect on so many issues.  It was a great segment!

Stop allowing the Divisions

Tue Jun 26, 2007 at 03:09:45 PM PDT

Dividing us works for them, not us.  We need to realize this and stop allowing them to divide America.
